Hi everyone. I’m Sommar Clark with Keller Williams, Wellington. I’m David Rosenthal with USA Mortgage.
And today we’re here with Dan from Kickback Tavern in Wellington. This used to be, uh, Backstreets, correct? Yeah.
And tell us about how it became Kickback and what you’re all about.
It was Backstreets for about 25 years, in September of 2019 we bought the restaurant. We did a lot of remodeling and our focus is on quality food rather than the bar. The name Kickback is mainly kick back and relax. Kickback have a good time, eat local, drink local. And we also pride ourselves on the fact that we give back to the community. So it’s kind of a kickback from the restaurant to the community of Wellington.
Speaking of all your events and the timeline, we hear you have a two year anniversary coming up.
We do coming up a real big weekend. What so you have planned?
We have a three-day event. The first day is a seventies party. And then Saturday, we’re gonna do a family event Sunday. We’re still kicking around on what we’re gonna do Sunday, but it’s gonna be, I think, sport related.
What are some of the most popular menu items?
We have really great burgers. We have a couple of specialty burgers. Our, our Figgy piggy is a big fan favorite. We have a Korean salmon bowl or Korean chicken bowl, Buffalo of mahi fingers. Mm-hmm , which is, uh, ma fingers, deep fried and toss in a Buffalo hot Buffalo sauce. Firecracker shrimp is another right.
