Finding a Replacement Home

Finding a Replacement Home
Sommar Clark:
Hi, I’m Sommar Clark with the Clark Team South Florida, broker by Keller Williams Wellington. I understand that the home buying and selling process can be stressful, especially when you’re doing both at the same time. Things can get complicated if your closings don’t align or it takes longer to sell or buy a house than anticipated.

So what happens when you sell your home and you have not found your new home yet? Well, you’re wondering where the heck are you going to end up? Where are you going to live? No one wants to be homeless. Well, here are a few options that you can consider.

You can consider finding a home to rent,.Renting a house for a little while can give you more time to look for that perfect home without having to settle just because you feel you had to rush and pick one.

Another option is to do a rent back. This is the option where you complete the closing process with the buyer, and then both parties agree to let you stay in the house while you rent the home back from the new owner. This is a great option if the new owners aren’t in a huge hurry to move in, but it’s also good for a seller because then you’ll be able to have a stronger position when you’re actually going to purchase a home.

Another option is to ask the buyer to extend their escrow, meaning ask the buyers to put back the closing date to give you a little bit more time. You could also consider unlisted or off-market properties. Bottom line is that there are a lot of options out there.

My team and I can explain these options to you in much more detail and help guide you through the process. There are many more strategies that are available to you that we can discuss to help you bridge that gap. I’d be happy to help you walk through all the options and help you find the best solution that works for you and your family. Sommar Clark, with the Clark Team South Florida and Keller Williams, and remember, we want you to love where you live. So give us a call. We’re happy to help anytime.
